 The failure of short perrenial rainfall has caused a really worrying situation for the people and livestock especially in the northern part of Kenya, perhaps threatening the lives of millions of herds particularly in marsabit county.  As we speak,  there is beehive of activities at moyale livestock market  as herds of cattle are ferried to the greener part of Kenya. It's sickening to learn that a cow goes for as low as kshs. 500 or 2000 on the upper hand.  The sad reality had hit the northern nomads below the belt. They had to part with their most loved treasure , that they tendered for long, sacrificed  to keep regardless of flowery opportunities that needs them to sell. What's left?  Apparently nothing.
